Recently, Lisa and I have embarked upon a sort of education foray into the world of selling on Ebay.. we could really use some extra money, and there seems to be a lot of money to be made buying a selling things on Ebay, if you know what you're doing. Hell, we even bought a book on the subject and everything.
We've started out by putting a few things we already had up for auction (Three nice dresses and three 164-1994 Commemorative Collection GI Joes - in their original package!) to test the waters as it were. So far we have not had a great deal of success.. the GI Joes each have one bid.. of 99 cents each.. and the dresses have no bids, although there are a few watchers.. hopefully they will start bidding closer to the closing date. In any case though - we need to find some stuff is a little more predictable.. electronics maybe.. to sell. If we could save a few bucks to buy some wholesale lots of things we might actually be able to turn a decent profit.. but we'll cross that bridge when we have the funds to build it, I guess.
In other news, though, I was awarded a refund of $88.07 by Paypal, after I got scammed by an Ebay seller into buying a bass guitar pedal that he never sent. It's a shame though.. I really wanted that pedal... oh well, you win some and you lose some.
Wait -- when do we start winning some again?
